People always say that babies take over your life and I always thought it was the case if you let it happen. Truth is... funny things happen to you once you have a baby. Things out of your control. Things like:
- Doing an impromptu dance routine for Baby in the middle of the kitchen to Amy Winehouse's "Rehab", noticing that the clock says 05:46 and convincing yourself there are plenty of people out there doing the same thing right now!
- Having NHS direct on speed dial on your phone, a spot previously reserved for that lovely little boutique Spa in Hampton Court that does amazing facials...
- Switching the TV on and landing on CBBies, as opposed E! Entertainment channel
- Suffering withdrawal symptoms the first times you walk out your front door without a buggy
- Leaving the house for work carrying your changing bag instead of your laptop bag
- Using baby wipes to remove your make up after a hard day (what exactly did people do before they existed??!)
- Automatically going into the baby changing loos at Starbucks, even when you are on your own!!
I might do a SuBo and check myself into the Priory for a couple of days...
