Joyeux noel!

Lou and I went to France to see the family before Xmas. Despite landing in the middle of a snow blizzard (the 4 mile trip from the airport took one and a quarter hours!), then leaving the Loire valley and landing back in London at a snow-covered Stansted airport, we had no disruption at all which is nothing short of a miracle considering countless flights were cancelled and some lucky people were stuck 17 hours in a Eurostar train from Paris that should have taken 2 hours. ANYWAY, we had loads of fun in the snow, and saw loads of people including the cousins and as you will see from the video below, 3 boys under the age of 4 in one room can quicly lead to over-excitment!! Bin ca y est - l'hiver est enfin la, ca fait 2 jours cette semiane que le pare-brise des voitures est gele (c'est pas souvent ici!) alors Loulou a sorti sa garde-robe hiver 2009-2010!
Winter is finally here so we make sure we warp up warm in the morning on the way to nursery!

Barbapapa-Mania

OMG -- H&M Kids have just released a series of baby/kids t-shirts inspired by the Barbapapa cartoon characters. Now... you may not be too familiar with them, but I grew up watching every episodes and they are the coolest thing on the planet... so yes, Loulou just had to have one!! We also have started a little ritual where on week ends, after breakfast, Louis sit on my lap (or daddy's) and we watch episodes of BBPP in French on YouTube. He is glued to it as you will see in the video below!
H&M ont une superbe collection de t-shirts, pijamas barbapapa, c'est excellent!! Quelle nostalgie alors j'ai achete un t-shirt a Loulou... bien sur! Et comme ici les Barbapapa ca existe pas a la Tele, alors on regarde les episodes sur YouTube le samedi matin apres le petit-dejeuner: Louis en est ga-ga!!!

Mon pote Mandu

Et bin oui Papa a gagne avec son nom debile, donc notre chat s'appelle Mandu, parceque Kath(cat)Mandu. Voila. Y'a rien a rajouter. Bref il est parfait et surtout il est tres drole avec Louis et ils s'amusent bien. Louis lui lance une petite balle le matin et il rigole quand Mandu la suit en partant comme une fusee.

Un An / One Year

Je ne peux pas croire que Loulou a deja un an -- mais si! Et le 8 octobre au matin, tonton Toc-Toc etait la pour lui souhaiter bon anniversaire. En arrivant a la creche, tt le monde a chante Happy Birthday, c'etait tres drole. Ensuite on a fait une petite fete le samedi et le dimanche, la famille est venu. Mamie Lili et Papy Fafa etaient la ainsi que Mamie Steph et Papy Wayne...

I cannot believe Louis is one. On the morning of his birthday, Uncle Toc Toc was there from France to sing him Joyeux Anniversaire and then everyone at nursery sang Happy Birthday as we walked in, it was very funny. Then we had a party and loads of cards and gifts (thank you all, cards on the way, but mummy has been away to the US for work so things are a little delayed!!!).

I dont eat chocolate cake but I like Nutella on a spoon (go figure!)

Nous voila revenus d'Espagne ou nous avons passe une tres bonne semaine - bon, ok, pas tres relaxante avec 2 petits de 11/12 mois mais tres bien tout de meme. Lou et Ella ont fait un concours de mangeurs de sable (Lou a gagne) et de mangeurs de glaces Magnum (la, c'est Ella qui triomphe san probleme!).

We just got back from Spain where we had a lovely time - albeit not so relaxing with 2 little ones aged 12 months. They had a sand eating competition on the beach (Louis won) and a Magnum-ice cream-eating competition (Ella won that one hands down!).

New Family Member / Nouveau Membre de la Famille

We will soon be welcoming a new member of the family: yes, after 5+ years, Daddy has finally fulfilled his promise of getting Mum a lovely cat. It was a total surprise as we drove to Hampshire. We got to this lovely big house in the country and I didnt realise why we were there for until I saw the kittens. Below is the gorgeous little friend Loulou will pick up on October 3! Naming suggestions welcome :-)

Nous allons bientot acceuillir un nouveau membre de la famille - il y a 5 ans, Papa avait promis a Maman un chat, et bien nous allons avoir un petit compagnon de jeu pour Loulou (il a juste 9 semaines, nous l'aurons le 3 octobre). Il nous faut un nom alors veuillez soumettre vos suggestions.

Combien de fois je vais m'entendre dire ca dans les annees a venir, je me demandais ce matin... Louis n'a pas bien saisi le concept - sa derniere c'est de tirer sur le panier a jouets pour qu'il bascule et que tous les jouets tombent par terre. Ensuite il les prend un par un et les jette autour de lui...

Les yeux de Loulou

Louis has slightly different coloured eyes - the left one has some brown which is visible on this picture. Yes, he is most definitely a unique little thing!!

Notre Loulou n'as pas tout a fait les 2 yeux de la meme couleur, l'oeil gauche a du marron compare a l'autre. C'est assez visible sur cette photo.
