OMG OMG OMG --- I haven't been this excited in quite a while but today was major for 2 reasons: SATC2 was released in movie theaters, and as if that wasn't enough, Apple was launching the iPad across the UK. So, having been told that I could buy on my corporate credit card (for demo purposes, you see), off I went to my local PCWorld. Did I have to queue? NO. Were the people really helpful? YES. Did it take me literally less than 5mns flat to buy this gorgeous piece of kit? YES. Did it match the customer experience I subsequently underwent at the Apple store to get the accessories I wanted? NO.
So, I really need to say: well done, Apple. You know you have arrived as a marketing-led organisation when each and everyone of your staff embodies and carries your brand values to the point that you can't imagine them working anywhere else!!! Oh, and your products aren't bad either :-)

News update
Sorry I haven't updated the blog in a while, it's been a bit manic at this end and so in no particular order, I thought I would share the latest with you all:
- Louis found out today how to reach from his car seat and open the electric window! Thank God the lovely people at Jeep have had the judicious idea of putting a window control button within easy reach of the driver... aaaah, so that's what the button was for!
And finally, I have had suspicions for quite some time now that my son has OCD. That was confirmed yesterday in the park when Steph and I took Louis out for a walk with Bertie the dog, only for him to say "uh-uh" every time he saw a tree branch on the ground (cause it's out of place, you see, branches should be on trees!).
- Louis's been very poorly, just as we had a 4-day trip planned to go to France and see my family; read trip to the local ER with shivering toddler with 104 fever. but this is France, so we waited 5mns, saw a doctor within 10mns and didnt have to pay anything!
- I then got sick too whilst there - read spending all night up cause I couldn’t breathe properly, not that it mattered as I had a sick child sleeping WITH me anyway
- Mandoo has progressed dramatically in the last week or so, in the sense that he has now figured out that he can use the cat flap not only to come back IN the house, but also to come OUT, which means I no longer spend my life opening the back door
- Celine came to visit and brought Louis a fab plane toy that makes sounds and talks ("going up, going down") which he loves. The thing works with about 16 batteries, which was fine until Louis decided the plane should do an emergency crash landing in the bath!
- Louis's lovely key worker at nursery (Stacey) left last week and he now has a new carer called Sabrina. He can't say her name so we are calling her Brina for now. Mind you, I haven't even met her yet so am still not sure she actually exists...- Louis found out today how to reach from his car seat and open the electric window! Chanel-tastic!
This post really is for the Cheaping Girls, who are always at the very top of their game however I reckon I have one up on them with this one (although Nat will probably reply that she did a post on this very topic 18 months ago!).
Yes, ladies, I have managed to get my hands on the utterly delightful Chanel nail polish colour of the moment (the out-of-stock-everywhere-but-you-can-add-your-name-to-our-pointless-waiting-list "505 Particuliere")!! Whoop-whoop.
But HOW, I hear you ask? Well, it's all thanks to the volcanic ash cloud (and no, it's early morning as I am writting this, I am not yet under the influence)... seriously... I was flying out of Heathrow T5 litterally a couple days after a week of grounded flights and I did what I have pointlessly been doing with everyone of my dutyfree-bound trips for the last 3 months, I headed to the Chanel counter, expecting the same answer from the raisin-faced lady when I asked her if she had the elusive 505 in stock. To my surprise, she said: "well, you can thank the ash cloud for the fact that my weekly stock wasn't depleted within 6 hours". If it wasn't for the fact that I'd just had a double shot flat white, I think I would have passed out...
